Use Jack stands or be crushed

wow thats sad. It happens too often and thats what makes it worse.

When i first got my 94 i went to my uncles so i could use his garage to do an oil change. We couldent get his 2 ton napa jack under the car. So we had to use a smaller jack he had to get the car partially up so we could get the 2 ton underneath. Once we got her up, we set in the jack stands and did the oil change. When we went to let the car down, we got as far as the 2 ton could take us, and we got it out of there. When we went to let the smaller jack down, something broke and the car slammed to the ground. Woulda been bad if one of us where under there.

When I was 16 , I had to jack up and pull my bestfriends dad out from under his car when it fell on him and crushed him to death. Please be careful. Its not a pretty sight or task to do.

Agreed. Even the heaviest jack has seals that can fail more easily than a jackstand. Safety first.

The only lift I've known is the one I bum to the speed shop, and my lock is a chunk of oak. Hey everyone, BadZ said we could use his lift ( for club member safety ):D:D

jacks are a very scary thing to use if you aren't careful. Im always very careful because I couldnt imagin that happining.
