My favroite part is the 500 yet to be named Camaro SS WOOTWOOTWOOTWOOTWOOTWOOT
Sources say Chevrolet will offer three versions of the Camaro — a popular model using a 3.6L V6, a V8 powered Z28 making about 400 horsepower (http://www.leftlanenews.com/chevrolet-camaro-future-2.html#) and a yet-to-be-named range-topping model that could have over 500 horsepower. Look for a convertible version to bow after the coupe as a 2010 model.

*Sigh* ya know.. I was really hoping the top model would be the Z28... Im getting sick and tired of SS... Id almost rather have the top model Camaro called the Type-R. lol j/kin dont flame me.
But seriously the SS badge is too watered down now and its not because they put the name on the cobalt, and all the other non performance cars. Its because the "SS" cars suck! SRT and SVT (RIP) beat SS with pretty much every class car and sometimes by a long shot.

Would imagine that a 500+ HP stock 5th gen would vindicate the SS name. Who knows... Maybe they'll retro it as the RS/SS. :D

Oh and if you've ever been to the Gathering and had a chance to talk to Scott Settlemire of GM, they're very concerned to NOT **** off the different Camaro trim owners (Z28/SS). Not making an SS model would be Hari-kari at an owner loyalty level.

Blah blah blah we dont even need spy photos. Im sorry for all who have not been to the gathering and seen what we have seen.To me the Z-28 is the high side of the mares and bring the most $$$$$ other than specialty cars that have been made. ( can you say YENKO).

Well I just bought A new Camaro last week...

It came with toyota badges and Tacoma stamped all over it...

I was going to keep my old truck,....and by new camaro next year.

The wreck changed all that...:mad:

oh well it will make me wait out the first two years of release alot easier..

the 2005 Mustang was nice...but, 2007 and 08 is way better..

I feel the new camaro will be the same...

I just hope the prices dont get crazy....The new Dodge challenger is already up there now.

The new camaro may make me take the jump back into a car. I've been driving a truck for the last 9 years. What is going to slow sales is the dealer famous "market adjustment". I saw this yesterday. I stopped at Town and Country Dogde in Conyers after a service call and looked at the Blue Bumble bee srt charger and it was stickered at 46k and it was loaded. They had a $10k market adjustment on it. I bet it will stay on the lot for a while. Especially in these times. I'm shocked the manufactuers will let the dealers do this.

Damon for just under twice that I can get you an 08 Viper for 91K. Just unloaded yesterday.That is window sticker. Mike who owns the Chrysler dealership up here is the 3rd largest Viper dealer in the country!

Well i know you dont have a Z06 so if you want to bring your SS i'm sure Mike would be more than happy to accomadate you. I'm tellin you would not believe some of the Vipers this boy has had. One twin turbo 1200 HP another with a built Hemi that made over 800 Hp that was featured in a Mag and I have it here at the house. So bring your SS and I will set it UP!!!!!

I'd love to have a viper. But for right now with the kids I gotta have room for them. I told myself as I pulled into the dealership that if they could make the numbers look good I would buy it, but as soon as I saw the "market adjustment" I did'nt even talk to anyone. I hate it when they do that.
