Did some NastyZ lurkin and came up with a simple master cylinder upgrade. The M.C. from a 4th gen will fit perfectly in the 2nd gen's booster. Along with the added line pressure/volume it will also " clean " up the look of the original M.C. in the 2nds
For around $40.00, a knob style Willwood proportioning valve would help even more by the ability of adjusting the rear brakes in. For the final touch, go ahead and get some good pads like EBC. They offer a ceramic "Green" pad for $55.00, and a "red" high speed compound for around $70.00

I had a set of the green pads on my 98. I liked those pads. They worked well.

Every little bit helps when it comes to brakes on the 2nd gens and those suggestions are budget minded and effective for the money spent. A pair of drilled and slotted rotors would help also. Coprunr did the rotor / Z rated pad swap and says it made a world of difference

well Kenny on my way home lastnight I felt my brakes starting to give out on me. I guess I better go get that master cyl. chanced. I cant go with the 4th gen one though because I don't have 170$ right now =p and the 2ed gen one only cost 40$ .. :D
I come to slow rolling stops now. lol going to pick the master cyl. up today.

I liked the hydroboost setup..................until I blew a power steering line on a 10,000# box van and had to drive it about 30mi to the shop in traffic, now I don't like the idea of a belt doing the work.
