July Chapter Meeting

what meeting? i got there @ 4:00 like the post said. and no one was there so i came home and found it had been changed to 4:30.... so i drove my car and the other half drove hers. got there at 5:15 , not a soul there. Kenny was the only one that showed and he left right before we got there. we have to get more people going on a regular basis.

It's alot harder than it sounds getting a chapter off the ground. The time I invest in this is unbelievable. The few guys I've got as of now all have family and usually call me and let me know they've got stuff happening. That's how it goes.

yeah i appreciate the effort to get things going. but right now i it's hard for me to find time to do anything else. i work long hrs , have two kids and planning a wedding with my fiance. after the wedding,things will slow down and i can give Kenny some more help getting people to come to the meetings. but right now i just don't have much time to spend on it. i know several people with Camaro's that will try to recruit when i see them and see if we can at least get a hand full of people to show up next month. another problem i see is , there are a few car shows that happen on the same day we are supposed to be meeting. there was a car show on South Parkway Sat. afternoon that had 5 F-bodies in it. 2 first gens , 2 second gens , and my fourth gen. that would be a great place to send out some fliers and see if we can get some more members.

I ain't sweatin it, I feel things are going pretty good for the few months it's been together. June's southside meeting had 3 members show up, didn't mean that yall only have 3 members did it? I'll talk to folks and see if a weekday would work better for everyone. As everyone knows starting up takes time and tweakin, but if you try to rush it all's gonna happen is frushtrations. With each person you get, it makes it easier to get another cause of exposure and word of mouth, member suggestions, working together with everyone to do what's best for the club.

Dont feel like the lone ranger!! Married 2 kids( 1 in college 1 sucking me dry) but all worth it. It all works out in the end. Jeff :)

Kenny,the summer is tough. People on vacation,going to the lake,and just doing yardwork. The fall and winter are better times for club meetings. You have more of a captive group of people looking for something to do.You Rock Just keep doing what you are doing. Getting the word out,they will comeBeer

i wonder if it would be easier to do it at a more central location? i know a few people in Athens that have Camaro's aswell , but they aren't going to drive all the way to Winchester Rd. for a meeting. maybe somewhere in the Madison area ? or somewhere off 72?

Kenny and coprur you both need to give me a call have more help I can give over the phone than typing it out. I expected some things to popup and you also help prove a point to several members. the club logo shirts website and getting things organized more.
