Southeast CamaroZ Meeting: Southside Chapter 07-14-2007
The seventh 2007 meeting of the Southside Chapter was held at Hooter’s in Jonesboro, Georgia on Saturday July 14. After the meeting, the Club participated in the Hooter’s Cruse-in. The meeting started at 2:50 p.m.
Attending were: President Greg driving a F-body coupe of questionable lineage :D ; Tom (Trainman) and Susan in their SOM 2002 Z/28; David Clayton (aka DC2250) from Valdosta accompanied by his spouse, Miss Kim and driving his sharp looking 1995 medium patriot red metallic ragtop; Dean with his shiny 2002 black 2002 Z/28; Rod with his show quality bright red 1970 Camaro; Rodney with his blue (it must have been his daily driver) ‘vette; Marcus driving his stock 2000 red Z/28; and, Bobby (GTEater) and his lady friend Amanda, arriving in his "daily driver/project ride", a 1988 RS Camaro. We had a turnout of 11 persons. Great Job Southsiders (and visitors)

Greg asked members to update their personal information sheets with Dean.
Kim asked the Club to look for a Camaro for mer. She is interested in a reliable, mechanically sound late model Camaro – most likely a 4th gen. She can be contacted at claytonk@bellsouth.net (claytonk@bellsouth.net).
Tom showed prototypes of new collared golf shirts to augment the growing Club sportswear line. New Southeast CamaroZ caps were shown also. Tom and Greg will continue to research items and price points.
GTEater, the nominal Southside Scribe, was in a learning mode as the visiting Southside scribe assumed duties at this meeting. (Note to Amanda: be sure Bobby pays attention to his duties as much as to the cars!)
Lifetime membership is $90.00 and it is an OPTION. Paid up members can upgrade by paying $60.00 to the Club Treasurer.
Greg announced upgraded web-site features that will included more content and navigation functionality. Look for these changes within two weeks. Great job Greg and Don.
Tom won the first door prize at the Cruise-in.Next Meeting: The Northside chapter will meet at Chili’s, Mall of Georgia, 12 noon Saturday July 21, with an option to cruise to the Canton show. The Southside chapter meeting will be again at Hooter’s on Saturday August 11 at 2:30 p.m.
The meeting was adjourned at 3:32 p.m.
