FS: New tires and like new tires

I have (2) Falken 275/40/17 tires with only 400 miles on them. Selling them for $220. And I have (2) 315/35/17 tires with about 3k on them. They still look new. Selling them for $170

The 35 series is a wider tire as compared to the 40 series. They first numbers represent the sidewall in ratio to the width.

35 series sidewall is lower pro. then a 40 series Dean, not wider. The second number is a ratio (better word is a "percentage") of the width. So with a 275/40 tire, the sidewall height is 40% of the width.

Nick is correct about the "35 series" being sidewall height as a percentage of the tire width.... and OBTW... you usually go with lower series when you go up in width so that you keep the overall diameter the same as stock.... thereby keeping the speedometer reading correct and minimizing clearance problems.........

okay Jim we are about 3 miles from Tenn. line:p :p :p that is hwhy miles but as the crow flies about 1\2 mile.
