looks good. I would take a wire brush and clean the inside backing plates, maybe even paint them. Also take the wire brush to the axle face. Rust creates problems with the drums.

Spoon em in close, then get out on the road ,take off in reverse and hit the brakes a few times, that makes em self adjust. Looks great for your 1st rodeo:cool:

The paint thing...when I was disassembling, didn't look at all the springs at the bottom...when pulled the shoes out...everything below came flyin out. When the humidity is 100% one CANNOT paint, So, if I'm driving the car this weekend (and I'm planning on it)...the paint will wait a little while. Every part I've taken off the car so far has had the rust removed, then POR 15'd, so I'll get to it, just not right this minute.

Jim I say ditch the drums and order the Wilwood f/r disc kit. That would look bad ass, I know its hard on the wallet though!

That's the only setback Nick. I'll get em one day, just not real soon!

Jim looks good it all just takes time. personally now that im use to disc brakes i hate drum brakes. i always have trouble putting them back together. thats why you do one side at a time.
