Well, the chrome is way thin, too much for a new grill, or re-chroming for now; so, I'm blacking it out.

Looks good to me!! Did you consider Rally wheel grey, plasticote also makes a cast alum grey that's actually glossy. It's what my hood hinges are done in. The way you got it is really cool too:cool:

I'll have to see if I can get a couple pics with the sun in front of the car tomorrow morning. As far as the grill pieces that I painted, they will stay that way, and I'll just buy new stuff down the road. Better fresh black paint, than see through chrome...

Jim I think that your car is looking real dang good, I like the black grill and not to sure, but probably agree with redz that the headlights being black would look killer too. You have done a heck of a job with it and I look forward to seeing it soon.

Yeah, I tried it on the center section spoiler, and didn't like the results, so the plan is to have the spoiler and hood painted, and the whole car wet sanded professionally. Got a price from a kid here (that does sweet work) of $600; and that includes grinding studs for rocker molding and wide window molds. By the time I get to it, it will prolly be more!

It's just a diamond in the rough. When it's finished it will really stand out. You might want to try and and paint the edges of the egg crate grille silver. That will detail it out:cool:
