I would be interested in knowing where do you locate the top nut for rear shock replacement on a 95 z28 convertible, I bought some new bilsteins for rear and struts for the front, but can't find the location of nut to remove rear ones, with out pulling ,rear seat back, harness mounts, carpet. The shop manual says 1 hour change out = 30 min. per side..
oh, and please don't say ,,,,on top of the shock......

I don't know squat about a 4th gen, but the pics you wanted are up in the AL chapter members cars section.

A short search at LT1Tech.com (http://lt1tech.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=9;t=002832#000001) gave me this info:
as for the rear. u need to be inside the car and remove middle molding on both sides in order to get to one of the shock mounts on each side. then u have to get under the jack a couple things up. then u can remove the rear shocks.
RedZ may be able to elaborate... ;)

Yeah sort of a pain. You have to remove the vinly stuff and kind of folf the carpet back. I had to have someone outside of the car to hold the shock in place so I could start the nut.
