Under hood

What color did the underside of the hood come from factory as? Also does anyone have a coolant reservoir for a 2nd gen to rid? I've been redoing my engine compartment

I think that most of the early ones were black - mine is.

I just got done with gunk and simple green from under the hood of the 71 camaro looks clean now:D No pics was taken during this project!! Oh yea changed the spark plugs also next is the .......

i might can find you a resevour thingy......same thing as an overflow bottle right? i might have one hear at the house or over at one of my dads friends house...

After 26 years without cleaning,I washed the RS/Z28 today. The under side of the hood is semi gloss black. The 71 does not have a coolant recovery bottle.

Finally got all the old paint ground off the cowl and innerfender this evening, it only took 3 evenings ( after work). Got em painted the color the car was when painted 9 years ago. Tomorrow I'm puttin it back together. Got the wells in the shed,took them down to the metal and painted them also. Unlike secretive folk I took pics to share with other members!!!

Fender wells are in and fuel lines/ regulator moved. Hope everyone keeps in mind my Camaro IS a work in progress. There was no way I could've done all that it needs by G11. Am getting body work done when it gets back tho. Trading my 1949 dodge truck for all but paint, DSB's doing the paint

My windshield clips came in yesterday. Ordered them at G11. My Camaro takes 10 to do it, they shipped 20pcs for $7.19 total:cool: :D . Next is under hood insulation($18.99) and parking light trim rings.They worked with me on paying at the event, shipped quickly, so they got my business:D

Got the driprails on. Looks alot better than no chrome at all. Between that and the Meguir's 3 step strip, polish, and wax job it looks different than when at G11

Jeff was nice enough to hook me up with a black console in good condition. I cut the pwr window switch in and here it is. All that's left is a new lid to complete this part.
