Soundproofing looks excellent. Where did you get it? The Nashua manufactured dated tape was a nice touch.

I got the insulation from Home Depot, A/C dept...1/4" thick, 12" x 15' rolls, self adhesive duct insulation, just under $17 a roll. I will have 4 rolls into it. Used the aluminum tape to clean up the seams after piecing it in.

If you put that scoop on the hood you could copy a Trans Am. Turn it around and put 2 on the hood and you have a Formula.;)

I'll have to get another one for the hood...gotta keep the one on the roof!

I did HVAC for 9 years. That's TVA inspection tape, the best in foil tape. we would take a heat gun and heat the duct a little, put the tape down, heat it and squeegie it out. Heat activates the glue 2x as sticky, almost tape water to the wall with it:rolleyes:

Bobby, the easiest way to post pics, is to get a photobucket account. Once you post em there, it is super easy to post a link on any site you want...

If you have them stored in your computer you can upload them. Just remember Bobby that once you post pics you don't want to delete them from your Photobucket. You will wipe them off all posts.

I was doing the same thing at 8:30 last nite, but i was relocating power switches to install a CD player. It's hard to keep smiling under a Camaro dash:mad:

torval

LOL, yeah, think I was involuntarily smiling, because my massive gut and gravity put pressure on my face muscles....:(

Jim,What kind of meals they serve in jail? Man that's rough.:D

torval
04-16-2007, 12:58 PM
Dean, if I would've eaten in that position, I would prolly still be stuck...

Getting out wasn't nearly as bad as getting in, would've put the lower dash on first, but being an OER pad, I wasn't sure of alignment and fit. Looks like it's gonna be okay tho.

torval

Kenny sorry man, didn't see your post! If I recall, it was over $300. Man, after the aggravation I've had with this OER dash pad...I don't know if I would recommend them. I think there is a company that will redo yours. I'll see if I can find and post a link from NastyZ.

I wish they had some prices posted, oh well, a phone call isn't too hard. I was ready to pull my hair out yesterday...messing with that OER pad (rant).

I'd rather pay to have the original done than getting one that might fit good. I'll call em Monday and let you know what they have to say

torval

Cool! Somebody over at NastyZ said they were gonna be more expensive than getting an OER repop...but after the headaches with the OER in the Camaro, the T/A is getting a repair job from just dashes.

GTeater
04-25-2007, 02:42 AM
Oh boy another T/A! Man oh man!! Good luck with the project though man, hope you get em done with as little headache as possible.:D
