The big rumor around the track is that CHEVY/ford will pull out of NASCAR next year.Dodge said that if they go that they will not be far behind. They are all upset about the COT.They say that they are in the business to sell cars and, the COT is only available from NASCAR. The only thing that will separate a Chevrolet, ford, Dodge and toyota from each other will be a decal and the opera window. If this happens, Honda and Nissan have said that they are ready and willing to fill the void.

Toyota has rooted their way into the Top Fuel Funny Car scene in both NHRA & IHRA. I know, it's only the shell in drag racing, but it still will never be right. They need to stay with the drift scene.

OK. So don't shoot me on this one guys/gals. Personally, the "Car of Today" no longer looks like its stock namesake. And they are all twisted-looking with a non-stock, asymmetrical shape (except Daytona/Talledega cars). The COT looks more stock to me, but all four models look the same as another pointed out. Personally, I think Nascar can incorporate current safety standards into current stock shapes and should go back to adopting different airdam, spoiler heights to make the cars perform as equal as possible. Just my opinion.

You looking at this all wrong....
I say let Toyota and anyone else Race as long as they want....Why.
Where else can you legally run a jap crap into a wall at 190 MPH and get away with it...
They want to race American then American Drivers in Nascar week after week need to take them out...Wrecked cars dont finish races.

I have never owned a honda, toyota, mitsubishi, nissan etc in my life and won't ever. I realize that yes they are put together here nowadays and that they are dependable, but that still doesn't make 'em american. I Won't even let them park in my driveway. How many here can say that ? Americans bought 'em up, made 'em big, now want to complain cause they're taking over.. now thats funny stuff. I guess thats the old union made coming out of me.

I 3rd it. But why would Chevy want to pull out now when they have dominated for so long. Really none or the cars over the past decade have represented anything that has come out of the factories.

Nascar is about like watching wrestling anymore as it is.
They make the rules up as they go and manipulate the race for the "poster boys" to win anyway. I'll have to say, the past 2 races have been nice with someone new in victory lane. I think the COT looks like crap. But like already pointed out, the old car didn't even resemble the street cars anyway. I like watching NHRA better, but its does suck that Toyota has made their way into it.
