The new wiring harness for the 71 Camaro. From bumper to bumper came today from American Auto wire! The rest of the Covar gauge cluster should be here Wednesday. This should be alot of fun. Get the pics when everthing gets here.I bet you want progress pics also LOL

also the factory am/FM radio i just found it next... where did I put those control knobs

Oh I can see it now! That ol boy will be sitting back scratching his head in dis-belief now! Greg, let me know how this one works out, I have one needing the same attention. I have looked at Autowire and Painless both - still have not decided.

The update taillight harness is installed
removeing the driver seat, still cover and the plate, rear seat and the whole dash and the steering column . I did crack the driver side kick panel.:(
So add that to the list of things to get
1157 bulbs
1156 bulbs
radiator core support
radiator support bottom bushing kit
battery pan and bolt kit
driver side kick panel
gas tank sending unit.
should have some pics sunday
looks like a fun project so far =p I told you im up for drinking your beer and watching you do it! where is that call? lol jk

getting the old dash cluster out. Will have to remove the steering column to get the main harness removed. will install the tilt column so no problem there.

so far only about 3 hours into this project
kick panel and parking brake removed to get the intermediate removed and installed

The next 3 pics is where it was burnt. I know of the main was toast not the other 2 did see that untill I removed the harness

It is always interesting to see what hackjobs were done in the past. Gotta love that old brittle wiring as well. Just think, when you are done, you will have no fear about your car burning to the ground.

Today install the front light harness. I have some type of relay that was halfway hooked up. Now trying to figure out what it is and connect it up correct. parts now needed rad support, battery tray, R kick panel
Now add to that list horn, rubber garnet horn, 4 1157 bulbs 4 194 bulbs
James it took about 2 hrs

Engine harness installed wed. Some past owner put in another harness from a later model. Taken a little longer cause of color's dont match the wire diagrams or spliced and wire nuts and e tape .Chould have the main in this weekend and finish some odds and ends. Then its wire up the gauge cluster

I pulled out the old steering column. Hooked the starter and reattached the ground wireand all the new blubs installed. Now the main harness but first a bracket has disconected. no pics
