Well, I'm sure you've already tried the local junkyard...
You might post your request in the swap meet section at nastyz28, I know several guys there have several cars.

I am assuming this is a weld inpiece to allow room for the shifter. I am preparing to install a 4 speed in my 78 and I wondered if there was room for the shifter. I removed the dash to rebuild the air box, vacuum lines, and heater core. While I had the dash removed I install a new brake/clutch pedal set. I installed the frame brakets and block stud. I have a T-10 with a Hurst Comp. shifter and cross member waiting on a bellhousing and flywheel. I know where a junk car is that had a 4 speed. Do I need to cut this section out of this old car?

Yes you will have to cut it out if you don't want a big hole in your floorboard for shifter clearance.shiftin
