I started on the interior today. I contacted Mathis Auto Interiors and they have the materials I need for a " correct " look. This afternoon I disassembled the headliner and trim panels. Tomorrow I'll be dropping off the liner and sunvisors for recovering. I'm also ordering a new dash cover, seatbelt guides, glove box, fender emblems, jacking instructions, and under hood decals. It has the brushed alum guage trim so I'm getting a 4pc set of new inserts.

Headliner is at the shop, should be ready friday at 3:00. I pulled the rest of the interior panels today for a cleaning and recoloring with Duplicolor products that I got today.

I got my headliner back friday, looks great with the original color back on it. I stripped all the interior panels out of the car for recoloring due to sun fading. The rest of the parts should be in next week. I think I'm gonna order new carpet tomorrow while everything's out of the way.

I got a dashpad, an aluminum gauge bezel kit, T-Top moldings, dome lt base & bezel, deluxe package shelf, and premolded carpet with the rubber under the pedals from NPD today. I want to install it so bad, but I can't til after the paintjob on the car gets done. It's going to the paint shop next saturday and I get it back sunday. I'll have 4 days to install a complete interior and all chrome trim before G12:eek:

Today I'm ordering the T-Top weather stripping, trunk and cowl seals and a rubber bumper kit for the entire car.:D

Man Kenny. I would have given you the cluster of mine that has that inlay in it already. It does not look good in my car and will be getting another black one soon. Looks like you are making good progress. I was trying to get that kid at nasty to sell you his berlinetta hub cap but I think he thinks he has gold. Anyway, looks good. I am holding out hope that mine will be in the paint shop at the end of the month. Just in time to miss G-12.

The seats and door panels won't be done by then, but oh well. It's a work in progress so it'll be ok. Last year I had to replace the steering column out of the '77 the day before the show, it was 10:00pm thursday nite when it fired:eek: It's not fun unless you are on a time crunch:rolleyes:. I've never spent anything on original interiors before, it's always been poly seats and roll cages.

I got a package in the mail yesterday. I got Metro's Gold Series T-Top weatherseal, trunk seal, shifter insert and allen head screw kit for the shifter plate.

I just went to Sherwin Williams and got thier " 3rd Dimension Urathane " paint in Olympic White, reducer, hardener, and a HVLP paint gun:D:D DSB94Z is gonna shoot it tomorrow around noon or after.

Nice man.... I have been working on airbrushing flames . My friends at work gave me a air compressor ,and a awana (or what ever) air brush set. Looked it up on the net and its worth $400.00 or so he never even opened it. He has a New paint gun also I might have to talk him out of it. just bought some house of colors paints they should be getting here soon.
1st thing i will learn is flames + skulls !!!! cant wait.

Today is paint day. I'm leavin out in a few to get more tape and masking materials. I have to get the car on the trailor and be at Dsb94Z's house at 10:00am. From there we're heading out to Bingham Autobody Restorations in Woodville ( his shop ). Plans are to spray it and leave it in the paint booth til monday morning to allow the paint time to cure

It's done in 2008 GM Olympic White, yes it's BRIGHT! My bodywork ain't all that by a long shot. I gotta replace the header panel and put a lower patch in the drivers side due to a blow out repair. I bought more than enough paint to spray the replacement parts with that in mind.

The Metro weatherstripping for the door/TTops fit very well. I got all of it on the car tuesday night ( took til 11:00pm ). Last night I got all the interior panels in, package shelf, carpet, headliner, rear seats and the seatbelts mounted.

Nothing like a last min. dash to get things back together huh?? Doing the same thing myself..:) lol.. but in th engine bay.. figured i didn't wanna drive all the way to Atlanta with a "weaping" waterpump.. Soooo.. figured since I had all the stuff off to put the new water pump on.. I may as well paint the front of the block and make it all look good again..:)
