Are these the same manufacture? The camaro owner used these had no problem with the install.

Some after market companies are better than others. I've seen were people have gotten the same item from different manufacturers and had different results. It's a crap shoot.

Boy, what to do. I was ready to order a pair of these until I read all the posts. Thanks for the heads up Jeff. Guess the safest thing is to actually see a set from a given mfg and see them installed on a 4th gen exactly your year (to be sure). The ad does say through 2001 (not 2002). Any more thoughts guys? Perhaps another mfg? Thanks again Jeff for sharing Zach's personal experience.

What year Camaro did they finally fit? And was the pair Zach bought, which didn't work for him, the same mfg. as the ones Greg posted up?

Tom, that could be atypo error. I've seen afew of those. I think it's best to look at the item your after on somebody's car and see how it fits and looks. If it looks right then ask the owner who made it and if they had any problems installing it

Yes, would you please. I've seen 3 companies online with these replaement non OEM units. The ones I like the looks of best are from K2Motor.com Their sale price is $ 149.95/pair. Chrome or Black. Seen cheaper and seen more expensive. Would appreciate your field intelligence on this matter, Miss Chick.

I put the question out there, I'll let you know what they say.
Another option is to refinish the originals. There's a thread at LS1tech.com outlining the procedure here (http://ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=157192&highlight=headlight). There are several kits and polishes out there for this purpose. I used one in a pouch from Advance (wet sandpapers and a sealant) and got fair results ont he Montana I just sold. I'd bet I didn't keep the paper wet enough. Here is a video from Permatex (http://www.permatex.com/videos/video_headlight_eng.html) showing thier product. I would def take the headlights off the car if doing this procedure. If I pulled them off, I'd do the Whistler mod too. :D
