To anyone having Black and Decker can openers beware! Mine came on without anyone in the kitchen. My son went in there 1st and it was smoking after less than 10 seconds so he unplugged it. When I came in there it was still smoking enough to think it was flamed up inside. We've only had it for 8-10 months.

Black and decker products are great ...As long as "Left unopen in the box";)
