March Alabama Chapter Meeting

The March Alabama Chapter meeting will be held on the saturday, the 15th at 4:00pm. It will be at Cafe' 302 on Winchester Rd across from Riverton School

Odds are,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I will make it to this one. I'm headed to Georgia this weekend so next weekend I should be available to make a meeting again. Probably be the last one for me....
Hope to see a good turnout and a few of the guys I haven't met, better yet, their cars...lol

Me being there depends on the mechanics working on my crane. Its laying on the ground getting its last configuration for this job. If it gets ready to be boomed up today,,,,,I will be making lifts tomorrow...........

I went to boom my crane up after the new boom configuration ,260' main boom, got it up about 40' and suddenly lost all mechanical control and it dropped like a rock,,,,,,,talk about pucker factor between cloth seat and butt,,,,,, anyway , have mechanics coming in from Atlanta and Nashville so it looks like I will be there Kenny, is it still going on? if so, shoot me directions again. If not, I'm headed to South georgia to ride my scooter in the 79 deg weather tomorrow..........

Directions are:
From Hsv, Decatur, Etc;
Go East on i565 until it changes over to hwy 72. Go over Chapman Mtn to Moores Mill Rd, the 1st red light, and turn left. Travel around 4mi to the 3rd red light, Winchester Rd, and turn right. Traveling about 8mi north you'll pass a Publix & Mc Donalds on the right, then you'll cross the flint river bridge. At the top of the hill you'll see Riverton school on the left. Across from it is the Cafe' 302 shopping center

Yeh, alls good with me, lol. I had previously been running 430' of boom and We had pulled 230' of luffing jib off of it and added 60' more main boom to have 260' of main. Apparently, one of the main motors that control all functions of the boom hoist and feeds the swing hoist decided to take a crap and sheer off a small drive shaft or blow the internals out of the motor feeding the hoist and swing. Not real sure yet, We have ALL CRANE and H&E coming in this morning to run some pressure test etc, but with the big storm that came thru, slowed them down , so I came to apartment for a nap. Headed back to work now, mechanics called said they have arrived. I will go in , hear the fix , go to a car club meeting? and maybe make it home to add love and attention to my scooter and girlfriend for a couple days,,,, not in that particular order tho.....

Crap Sorry guys for not making it. But I had some problems with my shifter cable. I did a fast fix like kenny told me too. Well ... that only held up for a weeks so i had to break down and buy the new cable.

Now the car runs like new again. and because I took the center console out to repair the cable I decided to go ahead and repaint it Black. so that is what i have been doing this weekend. hope u all had fun.
