Door handle & Lock help

I removed the mirrors from the doors and was looking at the handle and the lock and said to myself "self, their has to be a easy way to do this." From what I see it looks as if the glass and regulator has to come out to get to it. And one thing that is odd is the mechanism that that mounts to the back of the lock cylinder that attaches to the rod that locks the door from the cylinder is missing. Strange. Like someone has been in there before. If anyone has one or know where I can get one that would be great. I guess I would need whatever piece it is that attaches it to the cylinder as well.

It is for the drivers door. I need the clip that holds it to the lock as well. If you have that I appreciate it.
