I met an organizer commitee member today on FQuick. Been talking to her about the club attending. We are invited and will have adequate spaces reserved to have all the club cars together. I will need to contact her with a car count by the 19th. All the Al Chapter members that can I hope will attend. This is one of the larger shows of the season.

Hello!!! :D I'll post up new information about the show as it becomes available. I know that the Grand prize is a 350 crate engine. We also a have a transmission to give away and many, many other prizes. $100.00 will be given away on the hour starting at 10:00am. It is shaping up to be a really big show. Starting on March 7 @ 6:00pm we will be having a cruisin on the Square every first Friday of the month leading up to the car show and if all goes well, we will continue to have them after the show.

We were the only 8 people at the dragstrip, only cars in the pits, standing under the bleachers with it raining real good.:cool: Priceless :cool:

I hope you can make it :) It's a Mayberry kind of town with lots of friendly people and car enthusiasts. We are going to have several vendors who will be giving free stuff away also :)

Coprunr's '97SS is my pick. Nothing agianst everyone elses, I just know the car and it's history/life and it looks sleeper. DC has a Very nice Z also, with the baddest stereo I've seen/heard in a Camaro. Bizkit's was trick also!!

We are having another meeting Wednesday night about the car show. Do you have an idea of how many will be attending?? I talked with one of the other organizers and he said that as long as you pre-register, we will save a spot so that your club can park together.

I would have loved to make this show, but, thats the weekend of the Leesburg Bikefest, Already have room booked and girlfriend excited ( motorcycle nut ). If you can change it for the prior weekend it would be appreciated,,,,,,,,,,lol

It would be GREAT if those from your club could meet up and arrive together : ) I told them at the meeting last night that you are coming and they said that you need to pre-register ASAP so that we can go ahead and mark your spot on the diagram. When you mail in your registration please list your club name somewhere on the form so that we can group you together. But it will be a great help on the day of the show if you can arrive together :D We also got confirmation that the Grave Digger is going to be there also shiftin

I trailered mine to Georgia or I would leave it so it could go, on a soon to be post I will tell you a story how I outwitted carjacking thursday night, running red lights , stop signs , jumping curbs etc to get the upper hand on a couple would be hijackers as the police were sure that is what was going on. I tried to pull one of them out of the car 3 times but lost grip as car was jumping curbs and speeding away. Quite an evening, 2.5 hours sliding corners with my car on a trailer and some jerks with pistolas and knives....

The car show was great, over 400 cars at 11:00 and more showing up. I looked for our folks and didn't see anyone or any cars I recognized. It was a good car show though with a little of everything for everyone. I would recommend it next year and hopefully we can get together and arrive as a group next year. My car should be running by then. :eek: :cool: :D

lilhotrod96 apparently did a great job as they were running out of spots to park all the cars, everyone I saw was smiling and happy. Way Cool!

I think the count was 453 cars and over 2000 spectators!!!!!! The weather held out and was perfect!!! The crowd was GREAT!!!! Our committee is already looking forward to next year!!! We will be having a cruisin every 1st friday of the month and hope to see some of you there as well :D

I don't think I got to meet you but I appreciate you coming out!!!!

The blue 69 with tt2's and what looks like a real enduro bumper and maybe a LSX? looks great. also the blue(or black) 68. Just dont know about those exhaust tips and crooked SS.
