With the fuel prices jumping thru the roof and the insurance companies getting greedy, GM is going to be too late with the new Camaro. Another reason why we need to buy older cars to hot rod and responsible cars to drive everyday.

Somehow reading from a site called "Autoextremist" tends to make me wonder if the journalist's content is balanced. ;) Also, here is the original Wall Street Journal Article by J. White (http://online.wsj.com/article/eyes_on_the_road.html?mod=djemroad) and he didn't use the term "Holy" in his mention of a possible war in the article. "Holy war" is a bit insightful in these times. ;)
Theoretically, if what he said happens then all automakers will be affected, all the way up to the $100K, 438 HP Lexus LS hybrid and the new electric Tesla. I really don't see that happening anytime soon for the IIHS. They'll just have to keep making us pay huge premiums for power just like they do for size (SUV's/trucks). Also, the IIHS admits that their loss data is not adjusted for inflation. Let's talk about those figures when we can compare apples to apples. The IIHS just wishes we would all drive low HP cars and drive under the speed limit to keep claim money in thier pockets. Keep dreaming...
