It all begins tomorrow. Today I spent the day re-dying the sail panels, rear side panels, dash cap, seat belt holders, lower part of the dash, kick panels, and lap vents. I took the tail lights apart repainted inside and cleaned them (forgot to put the reflectors back in the side so I will take them back apart Sunday) and going to polish them. Tomorrow the re-assembly of the interior begins. The only issue I see is the dash cap. I mocked it up today and it looks like the drivers side front wants to be a bugger. I will have to fab something up to hold pressure on it untill the adhesive dries. Sorry, I dont have the camera. My wife has it with her in Ft. Lauderdale. I did'nt know she took it. I may go get a disposable. I have a spray bottle full of scotch guard and I was thinking about putting that on the carpet before I install it. What do you guys think? Oh, I got my interior screw kit from Fbodywarehouse today, that is going to make a world of difference. I like Pete, I will get the rest of the little stuff for the interior from him. Well, like the title says, wish me luck.

I'll probably give you a call next week Greg. If Kenny has the carb done I may go down to summit and get a tank and the tires I need. If so then I will need some help re-installing the carb and the tank. It will be nice to here it run again.

I put the lid on it thursday. The carb was missing the secondary vaccum rod that controls how fast the 4bbl opens up. I'm fabbing one up and it will be in the mail monday mornin. It's been a pleasure doing it for you.

WOW.. awesome progress Damon!! Sounds like you have done a GREAT bunch of work.. I think the Scotchguard idea sounds great actually. I plan on doing mine when I get ready to put it in.. :) Will make any possible dirt come right out with a cleaner... That and I probably have 6-7 cans of the stuff..:P may as well use some of it up.. hope it's still good.. LOL..

Not to Hijack the thread.. but quick question for ya Kenny.. My Quadrajet is acting funny since the Summit run. I get going up my mountain and it want's to stall out at the same two places on the road. I think it's a angle issue. My bud at work said it sounds like the floats don't like the steep grade anymore.. It's never been rebuilt, think it needs one? Can U shoot me a PM and lemme know what it runs?

2:00 pm started working on car. Drivers side sail panel warped. Played heck trying to get it to fit, only got the package tray, sail panels adn side panels installed before the headache got the best of me.
8:00 pm watched all star Saturday. Was alright.
11:00 pm checking emails and boards. Going to sleep and try again tomorrow.

whats with the headaches ? I tried a chiropractor once, like to have killed me, but only cost $70,000 and a scar on my neck to fix it. Cars take time, relax, it will happen when its supposed too.

The headache was from not eating all morning and going out walking that lame swap meet in the sun squenting.
Today went much better. Got the carpet, lower dash, lower dash vents, ac control seats, and console in. Wrestling carpet is not easy. It was even acc carpet. Nice to see it looking like a car again. Tomorrow I will get the cluster installed and get the door panels fixed up and installed. If time permits I will start taking the grille and headlight bezels out and paint those along with the window trim and lower grille. Sorry again I dont have pics. Wifey has the camera. She did a half marathon today (13.1 miles) down in Fort Lauderdale. Very proud of her. She has never done anything athletic in her life. She has been training for about 6 months for this and did it in 2hrs 23 min. The only time you will ever see me running is if i'm being chased by something meaner than me.
Anyone know if the window trim, grilles and headlight bezels are supposed to be gloss or satin?
