Type of tire you run

I have to get some tires for my car. I am going with 225/70/15 to go on my turbine or hurricane wheels. I like the height and width of the tire and with the factory wheels it looks good. I was looking at the BFG's as those carry a good price but was wondering what you were running and what you paid. What did Chevrolet roll these 78-81's off the line with? And is it safe to say they all came with raise white letters?

The 81 Z I have, came with Uniroyal white letter 225-70-15 if I remember. I have T/A's 245-60-15 on it now(whats left of them).

On Zachs Z we had 235/60-16s all the way around. I've always been partial to raised white letters on mine.

Only Z28's came with white letters. sizes were
P225/70-15
GR70-15
P205/75-14

I roll P295/50-15's on 8" Cragars in rear, P205/60-14's on 7" Cragars on front

BFG's are a good tire. I've run them for years on all different vehicles i have owned.

I'm running BFG T/a KDWS 245/45 ZR17 all around. I plan on driving mine alot and this will allow me to get more out of them since I can rotate them.

Back when I bought 15's I loved the 255/50r15's from BFG. It was a beautiful tire.
